This short article is a complementary note on the article "Web log analysis method" by Hajar Sotudeh published in Informology (Vol.1, No.2, pp.69-84) which discussed methodological aspects of the Web log analysis method. The present note explains some of the technical problems of the method including caching, user identification, session continuity, effects of spiders and robots, size of data and disadvantages of proprietary web log analysis softwares. Some techniques for improving the quality of research output of the web log analysis are also described.
