Me permito presentar a su consideración un trabajo etnográfico de investigación expuesto por una bibliotecaria mexicana con más de 15 años de experiencia. Este ensayo no abarca las grandes tecnología digitales que se platica que existen en los Estados Unidos de Norte América. No es la historia del sueño Anericano, ni de los grandes triunfos de los tamales, los tacos y las tortillas, es la historia y la lucha callada de los mexicanos y personas de origen hispano que con estudios o sin ellos tratan de progresar y subsistir en este país y son víctimas de dos silenciosas agresiones: ODIO Y DISCIRMINACIÓN. Esta, es una relatoria del diario acontecer en las bibliotecas del Sur de California donde con tal de subsitir nuestros propios hermanos venden sus convicciones y pierden su identidad. Es la lucha diaria por obtener si no una igualdad de trato, al menos una aceptación y respeto cultural y racial. (La autora autorizó expresamente al editor el archivo de este documento. ZMMM).

This essay ("It is time to speak up: Hatred and discrimination in information) is an etnographic research, an oral story told by a Mexican librarian with more than 15 years of experience. This essay does
not praise the digital technologies we are always told about they exist in the USA. It is not the story of the American dream, neither of the great successes of the Mexican food such as tamales, tacos and tortillas. This is the silenced story and fight of the Mexicans and Hispanic descendant people that with or without formal education strive to survive and progress in the USA and they are victims of two silent aggressions: HATRED AND DISCRIMINATION. This is a personal account of the daily happenings of libraries in the South of California, where in order to survive our Mexican and Latin American brothers sell out their convictions and loose their identity. This is the daily struggle to achieve if not an equal treat, at least an acceptance and cultural and ethnic respect. (The author authorized the editor the expressed archiving of this eprint. ZMMM).
