Abstract

This paper, delivered as part of the thesaurus workshop on languages of addiction at the Elisad Annual Meeting 2004, highlights the complexities of creating thesauri in the international setting, and the need to translate concepts as opposed to words: words are simple labels for concepts within thesauri.
