Abstract
[English abstract]
The purpose of this paper is to expose the experience of the Institut Català de Tecnologia (ICT) -Catalan Institute of Technology- in the development of an information service for companies, addressed mainly to companies located in Catalonia. The context is described with data relative to the enterprise weave of Catalonia and its evolution in these last 10 years, a summary of the supply of present information services in the region and some information about the existing demand.

Se expone la experiencia del Instituto Catalán de Tecnología (ICT) en el desarrollo de un servicio de información para empresas, dirigido principalmente a empresas de Cataluña. Para situar el contexto se presentan datos del tejido empresarial de Cataluña y su evolución en estos últimos 10 años, un resumen de la oferta de servicios de información presentes en la región y una pincelada de la demanda existente.
