Abstract
Welcome to the Social Library! Tea and cookies are nice but this enthusiastic group is interested in social software and the creative ways in which it can be used in libraries and within the profession itself. Learn how blogs and wikis are used as communication, outreach and teaching tools. See how libraries are using RSS feeds and social bookmarking to create current awareness services. Discover how social networking tools are used to connect with clients or other library professionals. Privacy issues and the business side of Web 2.0 will also be discussed. You’ll leave the session with new ideas on how to use social software to create client services or for professional development activities.
