[Spanish abstract] Este artículo explicará el funcionamiento del protocolo SRU-SRW, que es la evolución del protocolo Z39.50, ambos estándares diseñados y mantenidos por la Library of Congress-LOC, como aporte para la estandarización la búsqueda y la recuperación de la información en ambientes Web.
