Abstract

[Spanish abstract] Este artículo pretende dar una mirada amplia al desarrollo actual de las videotecas digitales en el ámbito bibliotecario a nivel mundial, para identificar los principales aportes, avances, aspectos teóricos y prácticos en el desarrollo del mismo. Forma parte del anteproyecto de investigación adelantado por el estudiante llamado: “Diseño e implementación de una videoteca digital para la Facultad de Comunicación Social de la Universidad Santo Tomás”, cuyo objetivo es el de desarrollar una videoteca digital para la Facultad, con miras a satisfacer las necesidades en la búsqueda y recuperación de la información producida por la misma facultad. [English abstract] This article tries to give to an ample glance to the present development of the digital videotecas in the scope librarian at world-wide level, to identify the main contributions, theoretical and practical advances, aspects in the development of he himself. Form leaves from the first draft of investigation advanced by the called student: “Design and implementation of a digital videoteca for the Faculty of Social Communication of the University Santo Tomás”, whose objective is the one to develop a digital videoteca for the Faculty, with a view to satisfying the necessities in the search and recovery with the information produced by the same faculty.
