Der Autorin ist ein wirklich gutes Lehrbuch zum breiten Feld der Online-Recherche geglückt, womit auch eine schon seit längerem klaffende Marktlücke geschlossen werden konnte. Wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken werden nicht umhin können, dieses Werk - und sei es nur zum internen Gebrauch - zu erwerben. Einschlägigen Ausbildungsstätten kann darüber hinaus empfohlen werden, es als Basislektüre und Lehrtext im Grundstudium zu verwenden.

This is a really good and comprehensive textbook which covers all relevant aspects of online retrieval and bridges a gap in the market. For academic libraries this book is a must-have, at least for internal use. For library schools, it is recommended to use it as textbook in class in the undergraduate studies.
