Abstract
[English abstract]The stories can be defined as “blended telling stories with digital technology” (Ohler, 2007). It is this blended characteristic which makes it a valid learning instrument, because it unites the story telling with the available technology. Leslie Rule defines digital storytelling as the modern equivalent of the court jester or the troubadour.
Because it is used a lot in education, the article looks at the educational value of the digital tales and describes some e-communities that have been created thanks to the digital stories.
[Italian abstract] Le storie si possono definire “narrazioni amalgamate alla tecnologia digitale” (Ohler, 2007). È proprio questa caratteristica di mescolanza che rende le storie un valido strumento per l’apprendimento, in quanto unisce la narrazione con le tecnologie disponibili. Lesile Rule definisce la narrazione digitale l’equivalente moderno di un giullare di corte o di un trovatore. Dal momento che il suo utilizzo è molto vasto a livello educativo, questo articolo guarda al valore di questi racconti digitali e descrive alcune comunità virtuali create grazie alle storie digitali.
