Ο όρος E-Learning χρησιμοποιείται για να περιγράψει μεθόδους εκπαίδευσης και εκμάθησης, με κύριο μέσο επικοινωνίας μεταξύ εκπαιδευτικού και εκπαιδευομένου την τηλεπικοινωνιακή τεχνολογία. Για την επιτυχία και καταξίωση ενός συστήματος E-Learning πρέπει να ληφθούν σοβαρά υπόψη οι δυνατότητες που ανοίγονται από τη χρήση μιας τέτοιας εκπαιδευτικής μεθόδου. Στην διάρκεια αυτής της παρουσίασης θα αναφερθώ σε μερικούς από τους κυριότερους παράγοντες, που συντέλεσαν στην επιτυχημένη χρήση και ανάπτυξη της E-Learning υποδομής στο Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο του Σύδνευ και μερικά ακόμα παραδείγματα από άλλα διεθνή πανεπιστήμια.


[English abstract]

The term E-Learning is used to describe the methods for teaching and learning that are using the communication technology as the medium between academics and students. For the success and the reward of an E-Learning implementation it is essential that the potentials of E-Learning teaching and learning will be seriously considered. During this presentation I will identify several major factors that contributed to the successful usage and development of the E-Learning implementation in the University of Technology Sydney. In addition, I will provide few more examples from other international Universities.
