Οι νέες απαιτήσεις των φορμών της ψηφιακής τεχνολογίας δεν μπορούν σε καμιά περίπτωση να τροποποιήσουν τις βασικές συνιστώσες της συγκρότησης, συντήρησης και πρόσβασης σε μια συλλογή βιβλιοθήκης. Αυτό που αλλάζει είναι η νέα δυναμική της ψηφιακής φόρμας σε ένα περιβάλλον που η πληροφορία χάνει τη μοναδικότητα της παρουσίασής της, αφού συσχετίζεται, συνδέεται, περικλείεται σε μεγαλύτερα τμήματα, ομαδοποιείται. Οι ελληνικές ακαδημαϊκές βιβλιοθήκες θα πρέπει να προβληματιστούν πάνω στα οργανωτικά, οικονομικά, τεχνολογικά προβλήματα μετάβασης στη νέα φόρμα.

[English abstract]
The new demands of digital technology's form cannot change the basic components of a library's collection composition, preservation and access. The thing that is been changed is the new dynamic of digital form in an environment that the information is losing its uniqueness of presentation, because it is correlated, linked, enclosed into bigger parts. The greek academic libraries have to think hard about organizational, economical, technological problems of transition to the new digital form.
