Last August 2006, IFLA held its 72th annual congress in Seoul-Korea, city where technologies are everywhere (in the streets, in the subway), invading every daylife, surrounding people. Without any doubt, Seoul is the city where the library community can meet.

La Fédération internationale des associations de bibliothèques (IFLA) a fait le choix de Séoul en Corée du Sud pour la tenue de son 72ème congrès annuel, du 20 au 24 août dernier. Pourquoi ce choix ? Séoul est une des grandes métropoles d’Asie (avec 12 millions d’habitants) qui conjugue énergie, dynamisme et technologies avancées de l’information apportant un démenti à l’assertion de Rabindranath Tagore selon laquelle la Corée est « le pays du matin calme »
