Abstract

[Italian abstract] L’interfaccia di ricerca del Thesaurus del Nuovo soggettario prevede: Ricerca per termine, Ricerca per top term, Ricerca per categoria, Ricerca per DDC, Ricerche combinate, Stringhe di soggetto collegate ai termini. Il record dei termini comprende: Area del termine (con possibilità di visualizzare la gerarchia, la categoria/faccetta, l’eventuale Nota d’ambito e, in qualche caso, le stringhe di soggetto collegate); Area delle relazioni standard (UF e USE, TT ,BT, NT, RT); Area delle relazioni di tipo storico (HSF e HSEE; UF+ e USE+); Area delle note e altri elementi; Area dei dati gestionali. Rispetto al data base gestionale, l’interfaccia contiene dati necessari per l’utente, secondo un ordine di presentazione (display) conforme agli standard. [English abstract]In the user interface of our Thesaurus, you can search not only by term, but also by top term, category/facet, DDC number, combination of two of these options and by subject strings linked to preferred terms. The record of each term includes five areas. In the first one we find the term, its category/facet, the SN, the icon to display its hierarchy. The second area shows semantic relationships (UF/USE; TT; BT; NT; RT) and the third one “historical variants” (HSF/HSEE and UF+/USE+). In the fourth area you can find notes (definition; syntactical note, history note; sources of the term; associated interdisciplinary DDC number). Comparing to the work database, the user interface of the Thesaurus contains only data useful for indexing, displayed as suggested by international standards.
