Abstract
[Italian abstract] La struttura del Thesaurus del Nuovo soggettario è caratterizzata dalla combinazione di due metodi e fasi: creazione della gerarchia di un termine verso l’alto (individuando i suoi BT fino al Top Term); revisione delle gerarchie a partire dall’alto. I termini vengono analizzati sulla base dell’analisi a faccette, per rendere coerente la struttura classificatoria dell’insieme. L’analisi a faccette contribuisce anche all’elaborazione delle etichette di nodo, inserite a partire dai livelli più alti della gerarchia e via via scendendo di grado, a seconda della necessità. La struttura è sostanzialmente monogerarchica (la maggior parte dei termini hanno un solo BT), ma con la possibilità di alcune limitate costruzioni poligerarchiche. [English abstract]The structure of the thesaurus of the Nuovo Soggettario is characterized by the combination of two methods and phases: creation of the term’s hierarchies from the bottom to the top (finding its BT up to the top term); revision of the hierarchies starting from the top. Terms are analysed using the facet analysis to make the whole classificatory structure unitary. The “analisi a faccette“ also contributes to the processing of the node labels that are inserted from the bottom levels of hierarchy going down to the bottom as required. The structure is basically “monohierarchical” (the most part of the terms have only one BT) but it is possible to find some occasional “polihierarchical” construction.
