Abstract
[English abstract] What’s wrong with the humanities? Most of their academics – at least those writing in French, English or Italian - seem reluctant to join the open access movement, or even the blogosphere, as if they feared public exposure. Meanwhile, lots of research in the hard sciences can be found outside the traditional publishers’ enclosures. Such openness is for the greater good, according to a recent survey. Still, non expert users and especially journalists, need a dose of esprit critique which the humanities could and perhaps should supply, it will be argued. [Italian abstract] Cosa non va con le scienze umane? Molti studiosi - specie quelli che scrivono in Francese, Inglese e Italiano, sembrano riluttanti nell'abbracciare il movimento open access, o anche solo la blogosfera, quasi temessero l'apparizione al pubblico. Allo stesso tempo, molte ricerche condotte sulle scienze dure si trovano fuori dai tradizionali poli editoriali. Tale apertura è per un bene superiore, in accordo con un’indagine recente. Tuttavia, gli utenti non esperti e specialmente i giornalisti, hanno bisogno di una dose di spirito critico di cui le scienze umane dovrebbero essere fornite.
