Abstract

[Italian abstract] Science Commons serve l’avanzamento della scienza, contribuendo alla rimozione di inutili barriere tecniche e legali alla collaborazione scientifica e all’innovazione. Costruito sulla prospettiva dell’Accesso Aperto ai dati e alle produzioni di ricerca, Science Commons identifica e facilita il superamento delle barriere al movimento dell’informazione, degli strumenti e dei dati attraverso un ciclo di ricerca scientifica. La visione a lungo termine di Science Commons mira a fornire molto più che semplici contratti. La volontà è quella di combinare gli approcci a pubblicazioni, dati e licenze per sviluppare soluzioni per un processo di ricerca integrato e semplificato.
[English abstract] Science Commons serves the advancement of science by contributing to the removal of unnecessary legal and technical barriers to scientific collaboration and innovation.
Built on the promise of Open Access to scholarly literature and data, Science Commons identifies and eases key barriers to the movement of information, tools and data through the scientific research cycle.
The long term vision of Science Commons is to provide more than just useful contracts. We will combine our publishing, data, and licensing approaches to develop solutions for a truly integrated and streamlined research process.
