L'intervento ricostruisce alcuni passaggi del dibattito sui temi dell'informazione e della conoscenza nel dopoguerra, esemplificando la svolta di fine XX secolo con la descrizione di Gibbons di un modo 2, contrapposto ad un modo 1, del R&D, di produrre conoscenza caratterizzato dall'interdisciplinarietà e dalla valorizzazione della conoscenza tacita. Sul piano epistemologico viene proposta la posizione costruttivista che introduce il ruolo dei processi cognitivi nella costruzione della conoscenza, distinguendosi dal modello razionalista protrattosi fino ad oggi a fondamento della scienza dell'informazione. L'idea di informazione come oggettivazione di conoscenza strutturata del modo 1 e per altro verso come prodotto della condivisione e collaborazione, tipica del modo 2, trova corrispondenza nel modello di biblioteca partecipata proposto da Lankes.
[English abstract] The speech rebuilds some passages of the debate on information and knowledge in the postwar period, epitomizing the turn happened at the end of the 20th century with the description of Gibbons about a mode 2 opposed to a mode 1, of R&D, about an interdisciplinary way of producing knowledge and abput the valorisation of a mute knowledge. On the epistemologic level it is proposed a position that introduces the role of the cognitive processes in the knowledge building, distinguishing itself from the model that has prolonged until now as the basis of the information science. The idea of information as the objectifying of a structured knowledge of the mode 1 and as a product of the collaboration and the sharing of the mode 2, finds its correspondence the model of the participated library proposed by Lankes.
