Il Progetto "Biblioteche Nelle Scuole", promosso dal MPI, iniziato nel maggio 2004 e ormai quasi concluso, ha
l’obiettivo di migliorare l’accesso all’informazione nelle biblioteche scolastiche, sviluppando le competenze informative dei partecipanti. Nel progetto sono coinvolte oltre 800 scuole in tutta Italia appartenenti a circa 120 reti di biblioteche scolastiche. In un disegno organizzativo di tale complessità, al CILEA è stata affidata la formazione
dei bibliotecari scolastici, la gestione dei sistemi di trouble-ticketing, la progettazione e la gestione del Virtual Reference Desk (VRD), del MetaOPAC delle biblioteche e dell’archivio dei prodotti digitali delle scuole partecipanti.

The "Biblioteche Nelle Scuole" (libraries in schools) project, promoted by MPI, started in May 2004 and is now
already almost completed. It has the aim of improving the access to information in school libraries, by developing
competences in information retrieval of the participants. The project involves 800 Italian schools which belong to
about 120 networks of school libraries. In such a complicated organizational environment, CILEA received the task of teaching school librarians, managing trouble-ticketing systems, designing and managing the Virtual Reference Desk (VRD) and the MetaOPAC of the libraries and the archive of the digital material of the schools taking part to the project.
