Abstract

Virtuelizacija svih oblasti ljudskog delovanja, uključujući i pružanje
bibliotečkih usluga, predstavlja jasno izražen trend u savremenom
informatičkom društvu. Uz nesumnjiv značaj postojanja virtuelnih fondova i
usluga sa stanovišta zaštite i široke dostupnosti bibliotečke građe neophodno je podsetiti i na iskonske ljudske potrebe, kako za knjigom kao
simboličnim nosiocem važnih psiholoških značenja, tako i za kontaktom sa
drugim čovekom u vezi sa knjigom i povodom knjige. Otuđenje koje se javlja
kao direktna posledica snažnog zamaha virtuelizacije nosi brojne psihološke
implikacije značajne sa stanovišta izgradnje i razvoja ličnosti. Biblioteke
i informacioni centri kao proizvođači i distributeri informacija doprinose
delom nastanku, ali i razrešenju ovog problema.

The Virtualization of all fields of human activities, including the Library
Services, represents a clearly expressed Trend in the modern Informative
Society. With the undoubted Importance of the Existence of Virtual
Founds/Holdings and Services, and from the stand point of Preservation and
large Accessibility of the Library Materials, it is necessary to remind us
of the essential human needs, as for the book, as a symbolic carrier of main
psychological meanings, as well as the contact with another human being
concerning the book and about the book. The Indifference among People, that
occurs as a direct consequence of the strong wave of Virtualization, carries
out a lot of psychological implications, which are very important regarding
the maturation and development of one's personality. Libraries and Centers
for Information, as producers and distributors of Information, in a part are contributing to the creation, but also to the resolution of this
problem.
