Abstract

This presentation expanded on the benefits which can be realized in a library environment using open source software. It was the third in a series of four presentations titled "Free Beer Anyone?...Leveraging the Power of Open Source Software for your Organization. There was discussion of staff skill development, faculty/library collaboration, accommodation of digital collections, citation management, and virtual reference from the perspective of open source software.
