Abstract
[Spanish abstract]Presenta un análisis crítico basado en investigación documental, sobre el importante valor que tiene la investigación para el desarrollo científico y por lo tanto evolutivo de la Bibliotecología. En particular se analizan los problemas que enfrenta la investigación bibliotecológica en México y las medidas que se pueden aplicar para avanzar en su erradicación efectiva en el corto y mediano plazo.

It offers a critical analysis based on documentary research, on the important evolutionary value that has the research for the scientific development and therefore of the Library and Information Science. In individual the problems that the Library and Information Science research in Mexico faces are analyzed and the measures that can be applied to advance in their effective eradication in the short and medium term.
