Abstract

Danas, kada svaka biblioteka ulaže napore za primenu
informaciono-komunikacione tehnologije, i Narodna biblioteka "Stevan Sremac"
razvija bibliotečko-informacioni sistem pomoću računara kako bi sledila
savremene tokove u svojoj profesiji. Odeljenje razvoja Narodne biblioteke u
Nišu ima dobru komunikaciju sa ostalim odeljenjima Biblioteke, što mu
omogućava da iznalazi nova rešenja kako bi korisnicima biblioteke omogućila
što efikasnije i dostupnije korišćenje informacija. Narodna biblioteka
"Stevan Sremac", u skladu sa zahtevima jedne matične biblioteke, već četiri
godine koristi bibliotečko-informacioni sistem NIBIS. [English abstract]
Today, when every library makes efforts to use ICT, Stevan Sremac Public
Library cooperates in the development of the library and information system
in order to follow modern trends in library profession. Development Section
of The Nis Public Library has a good communication with other parts of the
library, which enables the Section to find new solutions in order to make
information more efficient and more available to the library users. Stevan
Sremac Public Library, being Central Public Library, with its special
demands, has been using its library and information system NIBIS for four
years.
