It analyzes the relations between education and public library, starting off to consider the necessity of a clear differentiation of the social functions that these last ones have. It assumes, in addition, to the library like social organization. It makes a revision of the ideas of society, formal and social education, as well as of curr?culo. On the matter, it proposes that the public libraries must design their own curr?culo and educative project librarian (EPL), for which makes operative a proposal synthetic.}
