%X This paper is the result of a market survey concerning information professionals in Switzerland. Several private and public business companies have been interviewed and analysed in the context of being potential employers of information professionals. Questions concerning the main duties of information professionals, their perspectives on the job market in German speaking countries, requirements for candidates and much more is being analysed and leads to the conclusion, that information professionals are highly demanded on the Swiss market and will be so in the following years.
