%X This article summarizes the statistical panorama of the year 2000 of the Valencian Libraries (Spain) that reflects clearly the increasing importance that our centers of public reading and of information are acquiring in the society. The global evaluation of the information sent to the Department of the Books Records and Libraries registers a numerical increase in almost all the parameters (readers, activities of reading animation, loans, etc.) and in the three provinces of Valencian Community.
