There are 6 dimensions of the media literacy along with their indicators. A review is presented on the current legislation in all regions of Spain on the Primary Education curriculum in order to quantify the presence or absence of media competence in the fourth year of Primary Education. The methodology was qualitative and was based on content analysis. The results show the presence of media competence in the assessment criteria of the different areas of the curriculum.
