Volunteer opportunities

E-LIS invites librarians and Library and Information Science (LIS) organizations to join us in using, managing and developing this service by entering into a more formal partnership. If the archive develops into a comprehensive international archive, we believe that it can serve as a vehicle for more and better international collaboration.

There are different possibilities for collaborating with E-LIS:

• Organizations can make their research production available in the archive. This can be facilitated by selecting one or more "editors" to control the deposits.
• Professionals/organizations involved in LIS can provide information to the librarians from their country about the benefits of open access and self-archiving, for example: more visibility of their papers, preservation of the full text, etc. using E-LIS as example of an LIS repository.
• Librarians, archivists, or professionals involved in LIS that is interested in collaboration can join our international team as an editor, or help in the development of E-LIS in various other ways.

When formal agreements on the collaborative development of the archive have been made, the supporting partners will be shown as one of the supporting organizations of the archive by way of their logo and/or name.
