| Abstract: | This short essay has been written as a contribution to the Festschrift dedicated to the Professor Attilio Mauro Caproni. It aims to give an overview of the main topics discussed about the education and training of academic librarians in the so called "digital age". The focus of the paper is on the "Top Ten Assumptions for the future of Academic Libraries" discussed at the ACRL 13th Conference in 2007. Looking at the Italian situation, the main suggestion is to create opportunities of joint ventures with the Faculties and the Research Area, in order to produce the needed changes in the profession and the Academic libraries organization. |
| Other Abstracts: | Questa breve nota è stata scritta per comparire nel volume di studi in onore del Professor Attilio Mauro Caproni.
La continua innovazione tecnologica, i cambiamenti organizzativi e i forti limiti finanziari che caratterizzano la vita contemporanea delle biblioteche nelle Università – caratteristiche che possiamo definire ormai globali anche se, sicuramente, i bibliotecari accademici italiani in specifico hanno avuto un aperçu abbastanza traumatico di queste condizioni in questi ultimi anni – hanno un indubbio influsso sulle istanze di formazione e aggiornamento, percepite e disponibili.
Questo sintetico intervento non ha l'obiettivo di costituire un saggio sulla materia, né di passare in rassegna i numerosi interventi al riguardo, che continuamente vengono pubblicati sulle numerose riviste professionali nazionali e internazionali. Ha, invece, il modesto intento di "aprire una finestra" sul dibattito internazionale su questo tema, lasciando invece doverosamente aperti gli interrogativi su come le scuole, le università e le imprese private di formazione possono intervenire e interagire per sostenere l'acquisizione delle competenze necessarie nell'era contemporanea. |
