| Abstract: | This paper presents strategies and methods used at
Stuttgart Media University in training courses for
information literacy skills; its main focus is on marketing
concepts. Prepared and carried out by students from the
master study course of Library and Information Science,
these training sessions had multiple target groups.
Considering the diversity of several classes, the students
had to create various didactical concepts as well as
adequate marketing strategies. With the demand to be a
“Teaching Library”, the marketing strategy proved to be a
basic element of the training’s structure. The master
students share their experiences and views on possible
obstacles and give recommendations for the creation of a
marketing strategy in information literacy training. |
