| Abstract: | This article propose a new application of content metadata to increase the relevante and precision in web searching. The controled vocabularies used is based in LCSH for indexing but used as descriptors, breaking the precoordinated strings and establishing their equivalence with the UDC. Many reasons are exposed to justify their use. Also there are many exemples to explain the LCSH as they are usually used and the way that this system works. This proposal is based in the characteristics of RDF and Dublin Core languages as structures elements of Semantic Web. |
| Other Abstracts: | Se propone un sistema en el uso de los metadatos de contenido susceptible de aplicarse en la Web Semántica que ayude a aumentar la precisión y la coherencia temáticas, ideado en base a las experiencias obtenidas en dos centros de temática multidisciplinar. El sistema de indización y recuperación propuesto se basa en la adopción de los encabezamientos de materia (LCSH) usados como descriptores, rompiendo las cadenas precoordinadas y combinándolos con la CDU. Se justifica el uso de esta clasificación así como también se dan ejemplos comparativos entre el uso de los LCSH y este sistema, enmarcando la propuesta con las características que ofrecen los lenguajes RDF y Dublín Core como elementos estructurales de la Web Semántica |
