| Abstract: | The success of the new communication channels through the Internet shows its suitable format and design, but also that there was a latent need for such kind of communication. This paper describes several characteristics of social capital (trust, amount and intensity of links, reciprocity, common themes and shibboleths, cultural level, language, diversity), ie the elements that influence that cooperation occurs between people. Build on the basis of social capital we present 3 platforms:
1) a state of the art 2.0 directory, the directory EXIT (Experts in Information Handling) for information professionals and journalists. EXIT defines a community by enumeration of its components, and allows us to compare who is in it and who is not, and with what data; emulate and cooperate; etc.
2) the repository of documents in open access and OAI-PMH protocol E-LIS (Eprints in Library and Information Science) located in Italy, but promoted by the Ministry of Culture of Spain; and
3) the system IraLIS (International Registry of Authors - Links to Identify Scientists) created to raise awareness among researchers about something so simple but so important as the signature, registering all variations of signature, and carrying out automated searches on Google Scholar, repositories and databases with all the name variants. The three platforms are interconnected to form a system that reinforces itself synergistically. |
| Other Abstracts: | El éxito de las nuevas formas de comunicación a través de internet demuestra su acierto en cuanto a su formato y diseño, pero también que existía una latente necesidad de ese tipo de comunicación. En este trabajo se describen varias características del capital social (confianza, cantidad e intensidad de enlaces, reciprocidad, temas comunes y shibboleths, nivel cultural, idioma, diversidad), es decir, los elementos que influyen en el hecho de que se produzca cooperación entre las personas. Construidas sobre las bases del capital social, se presentan 3 plataformas:
1) un directorio estado del arte 2.0, el Directorio EXIT (Expertos en el Tratamiento de la Información) para documentalistas y periodistas. EXIT define una comunidad por enumeración de sus componentes; permite comparar quién está y quién no, y con qué datos; emular y cooperar; etc.
2) el repositorio de documentos en acceso abierto y protocolo OAI-PMH E-LIS (Eprints in Library and Information Science) ubicado en Italia, pero promocionado por el Ministerio de Cultura de España; y
3) el sistema IraLIS (International Registry of Authors – Links to Identify Scientists) creado para concienciar a los investigadores sobre algo tan sencillo pero tan importante como es la firma, registrar todas las variantes de firma, y hacer búsquedas automáticas en Google Scholar, repositorios y bases de datos con todas las variantes. Las tres plataformas están interconectadas formando un sistema que se autorefuerza sinergísticamente. |
