| Abstract: | Research assessment in the humanities is a big challenge. Qualitative assessment is a practice never really established and quantitative assessment is also lacking (as a matter of fact the Arts & Humanities Citation Index is not included in the Journal Citation Reports). This paper explores the opportunities led by the humanists shift to digital formats and practices and by the widespread adoption of the Web 2.0 tools to begin to establish also in the humanities forms of research assessment. |
| Other Abstracts: | L'articolo affronta il problema della valutazione della ricerca nelle scienze umane, sia dal punto di vista qualitativo - il peer review - sia dal punto di vista quantitativo. Vengono esaminate le motivazioni per le quali la pratica del peer review e la logica dell'analisi citazionale sono poco adatte a valutare la ricerca nelle scienze umane e proposte alcune alternative (social peer review e Usage Factor) che potrebbero consolidarsi in futuro tra le comunità scientifiche di umanisti e costruire un sistema di valutazione della ricerca nelle scienze umane. |
