| Abstract: | All through the long existence of university libraries, the main ideas concerning their concept and function have evolved along with the changes in the Universities where they were found. In this sense, the present paper offers a brief historical review, goes over the main national and international guidelines, standards or principles assessing the programmes and services offered by university libraries, and ends up by tackling the concept of CRAI and the new definition of university library in Spain. |
| Other Abstracts: | A lo largo de la dilatada existencia de las bibliotecas universitarias, las principales ideas en torno a su concepto y función ha ido evolucionado según ha ido cambiando y adaptándose a los nuevos tiempos la Universidad donde está integrada. En este sentido, el presente trabajo ofrece rápido panorama histórico, repasa las pautas, normas o directrices nacionales e internacionales por los cuales pueden medirse o evaluarse los servicios y programas de una biblioteca universitaria, y concluye abordando el concepto de CRAI y la nueva definición de biblioteca universitaria en España. |
