| Abstract: | The present work is concerned in the first place with the concept of indexing language and deals with the types of controlled vocabularies and classification according to different criteria. It subsequently focuses on the concept of classification and goes over the main classification schemes with special emphasis on the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) and its usage in Spain. Our work concludes attending to the concept, principles and types of subject headings, as well as thesaurus and descriptors. |
| Other Abstracts: | El presente trabajo se ocupa en primer lugar del concepto de lenguaje documental y repasa los tipos de lenguajes documentales según varios criterios. Posteriormente, el trabajo se centra en el concepto de clasificación y revisa los principales sistemas de clasificación, prestando especial atención a la Clasificación Decimal Universal (CDU) y su utilización en España. El trabajo concluye tratando el concepto, principios y tipos de encabezamiento de materia, así como los tesauros y los descriptores. |
