| Abstract: | The internet leads to a change of communication spaces in which scientific discourse takes place. It is striking that the core medium of the German Information Science, the journal, is still dominated by the medium of paper. This way, opportunities of digital science communication are missed. The paper describes the status quo of the German information science communication and points to desiderata. Furthermore current developments in digital communication of science are presented. Based on this review, eight criteria that should characterize a future information science journal are given. |
| Other Abstracts: | Das Internet führt zu einem Wandel der Kommunikationsräume, in denen wissenschaftlicher Diskurs betrieben wird. Auffällig ist, dass das Kernmedium der deutschsprachigen Informationswissenschaften, die Zeitschrift, noch immer durch das Trägermedium Papier dominiert wird. Dadurch bleiben Chancen der digitalen Wissenschaftskommunikation ungenutzt. Der Beitrag beschreibt den Status Quo der deutschsprachigen informationswissenschaftlichen Fachkommunikation und weist auf Desiderate hin. Darüber hinaus werden aktuelle Entwicklungen der digitalen Wissenschaftskommunikation aufgezeigt. Auf Basis von diesen formuliert er Beitrag acht Kriterien, die ein informationswissenschaftliches Journal der Zukunft prägen sollten. |
