| Abstract: | The local Information in the public libraries: a tool for the development of the community. The irruption and progressive extension of Internet between the citizens, have caused the challenge of the public libraries, at the moment as much not to facilitate the access to the information since it had been until now, but rather as this information can be turned knowledge, in useful and practical information for the daily life of the citizens and for the daily activity of companies, institutions, and administrations of our community. |
| Other Abstracts: | La irrupció i extensió progressiva d´Internet entre els ciutadans, ha provocat que el nou repte de les biblioteques públiques actualment no es tant el de facilitar l´accés a la informació com havia estat fina ara, sinó més bé el de com aquesta informació es pot convertir en coneixement, és a dir en informació útil i pràctica per a la vida quotidiana dels ciutadans i per a l´activitat diària d´empreses, institucions, i administracions de la nostra comunitat. |
