| Abstract: | Its trilogy on the era of the information has given international relevance to him. Castells, that left Spain fleeing from the Franco supporters and found under clouds of Paris and the sun of California the knowledge and prestige to its opposition that the regime denied to him, returned to Catalunya to analyze its relation with Internet, since already did in classic studies with Silicone Valley, Finland and Russia. It has been coordinating for three years the equipment of investigators of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, after to have left definitively to this winter the University of Berkeley after 21 years of teaching. |
| Other Abstracts: | La seva trilogia sobre l'era de la informació li ha donat rellevància internacional. Castells, que va sortir d'Espanya fugint dels grisos franquistes i va trobar sota els núvols de París i el sol de Califòrnia el coneixement i el prestigi que la seva oposició al règim li negava, va tornar a Catalunya per analitzar la seva relació amb Internet, com ja va fer en estudis clàssics amb Silicon Valley, Finlàndia i Rússia. Coordina des de fa tres anys l'equip d'investigadors de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, després d'haver deixat definitivament aquest hivern la Universitat de Berkeley al cap de 21 anys de docència. |
