| Abstract: | Since the late summer of 2002 the Hochschulbibliothekszentrum in Cologne and the Rheinische Landesbibliothek in Koblenz worked on a common project to select regional relevant web pages and electronic depositary copies, to make them accessible to the public and to preserve them for the long term. In this paper we scetch the planning and realisation of the project. Especially information on the use of the OAI-able document server OPUS is given. OPUS allows the automatic extraction of metadata, which can then be added to at a later stage. |
| Other Abstracts: | Seit dem Sommer 2002 arbeiten das Hochschulbibliothekszentrum in Köln und die Rheinische Landesbibliothek in Koblenz an einem gemeinsamen Projekt, um ausgewählte, regional relevante Websites und elektronische Dokumente für die Allgemeinheit verfügbar zu machen und ihre Langzeitverfügbarkeit zu sichern. In diesem Artikel wird die Planung und Durchführung des Projekts beschrieben, wobei insbesondere auf die Nutzung des OAI-fähigen OPUS-Servers eingegangen wird. OPUS ist in der Lage, automatisch Metadaten zu extrahieren, welche dann später hinzugefügt werden können. |
