The article treats the problems of the libraries and the libarrians which exist and offer services for a very long time. The new economic course imposed by the globalization converted the knowledge in a creator of wealth and in one of the most important intangible assets; this well is compilet, classified, stored and diffused by the librarians. The new technologies of the information and the communication imposed changes in the professional profile of the libarian, For such motive this new professional redefines himself from his own profession name to the knowledge, competence, abilities and aptitudes that he or she needs to acquire to be able to continue exercising his role in an optimum way. At the image of all these changes the high education institutions update ina constant way and dynamic the plans of study of these future professionals as well as induce to the ones that already have been received and exercise, to be brought up to date permanently
