| Abstract: | Due to current financial restrictions public libraries need to become indispensable for the information needs of the community in order to survive. To achieve this, the library needs to respond to user needs, assess its products and services, promote its image and change its style of management by integrating community members.

| Other Abstracts: | Debido a las restricciones económicas actuales, las bibliotecas públicas necesitan convertirse en indispensables para las necesidades de información de la comunidad si desean sobrevivir. Para conseguirlo, la biblioteca necesita responder a las necesidades de los usuarios, evaluar sus productos y servicios, promover su imagen y cambiar de estilo de gestión incorporando en ella a miembros de la comundidad.
