| Abstract: | This paper addresses the modernization of public libraries through a series of mechanisms and innovations leading to speed, especialize and literate the process of access to information, reading, and library services. It sets as a high priority for public libraries their transformation from passive to modern ones under the concept of cultural space. All of this in order to create, with this modernization, a citizen more trained and enabled technologically and culturally to extend and access the scientific breakthroughs combined with the expectations of the international community focusing as well on the human rights and the participation in the democratic process of Mexico. |
| Other Abstracts: | Esta ponencia está dirigida a la modernización de las bibliotecas públicas a través de una serie de mecanismos e innovaciones tendientes a agilizar, acelerar, especializar
y alfabetizar los procesos de acceso a la información, a la lectura, a los servicios bibliotecarios. Se establece como máxima prioridad de las bibliotecas públicas su transformación de ua pasiva a una moderna bajo el concepto de espacio cultural. Todo ello para crear, con la modernidad, un ciudadano más capacitado, tecnológica y culturalmente habilitado para entender e incorporarse a los avances científicos, a la exigencia de la comunidad internacional sobre el respeto a los derechos humanos y a la participación en el proceso democrático del país. |
