| Abstract: | This newspaper editorial article ("Preserving the memory: of the public information archives") argues in favor of the law of The Right to Access of Public Information of the Government and Transparency of the Government in the state of Michoacan in Mexico so its citizens can preserve their information memory. It supports the idea that such a law and rights can be useless and dead if the government cannot guarantee real access to information by including on the payroll the professional information experts (archivists, librarians, and documentalists). To support these arguments the author underpins evidences of research made by Zapopan Martín Muela-Meza ("Access to public information law, librarians and archivists" 2001 and "Why have been left out the information workers who give access to information at the new Mexican Law of Access and Freedom to Information?" 2002). |
| Other Abstracts: | Este articulo editorial de periódico argumenta a favor de la Ley de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública del Gobierno en el estado de Michoacán, México para que se preserve la memoria documental de los ciudadanos de dicha entidad. Apoya la idea de que tal ley y derechos serían inútiles y letra muerta si el gobierno no garantiza un verdadero acceso a través de la contratación de expertos en información (archivistas, bibliotecarios y documentalistas profesionales). Como base de tales argumentos el autor se apoya en evidencias de investigaciones de Zapopan Martín Muela-Meza (sus artículos: Ley de acceso a la información pública, bibliotecarios y archivistas, 2001 y ¿Dónde quedaron los administradores del acceso a la información en la nueva Ley de Acceso a la Información? 2002). |
