Abstract: The studies of information overload began at the beginning of the twentieth century. Since the 1960s, there have been many research papers and works on negative effects appearing with information overload, which caused by information becoming banalized and noisy. For the study of information degradation, Orrin E. Klapp proposes a psychological model.
