| Abstract: | The exponential growth of information resources creates new challenges for end-users. The correct information may be polluted by misinformation, disinformation, propaganda or incorrect information via the Internet and other media. This paper defines 'information pollution' as "the contamination of information by misinformation, disinformation, propaganda and incorrect information." The purpose of this paper is to present the methods of information pollution. It is concluded that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between true and false information. Thus, users should be cautious. |
| Other Abstracts: | با شكلگیری شبكه های رایانهای و افزایش حجم انتشارات و اطلاعات، پدیده به اصطلاح "انقلاب اطلاعات" به وقوع پیوست. از آنجا كه كنترل انتشارات كار بسیار سختی است، برخی افراد با انتشار اطلاعات غلط یا گمراه كننده موجب آلوده شدن اطلاعات میشوند. آلودگی اطلاعات نیز موجب آلوده شدن جریان كار تصمیمگیری، مواد و محیط زیست می شود |
