| Abstract: | Information power, specially the one kept and represented by written means, have been controlled, managed and influenced by dominant powers and ideologies throughout history. Current “Information Society” paradigm perpetuates such policies, generating deep problems in the free access to knowledge, and therefore in the human chances for development and growth. LIS have (un)consciously participated in such exclusion processes from their position as human memory managers. From several alternative ways of thought –including librarian anarchism- a redefinition of the current model of information society is proposed, generating proposals leading to a fair distribution of the benefits given by knowledge. |
| Other Abstracts: | El poder de la información y, sobre todo, el que contienen y representan los soportes escritos, han sido controlados, manejados e influidos a lo largo de toda la historia humana por los poderes e ideologías dominantes. El actual paradigma de “Sociedad de la información” perpetúa tales políticas, generando profundos desequilibrios en el libre acceso al saber y, por ende, en las posibilidades de desarrollo y progreso de las sociedades humanas. La bibliotecología ha sido partícipe (in)consciente de tales procesos de exclusión, desde su posición de gestora de la memoria colectiva de la humanidad. Desde un conjunto de corrientes de pensamiento alternativas –entre las cuales destaca el anarquismo bibliotecológico, cuyos lineamientos pretenden presentarse a lo largo del presente artículo- se propone una redefinición del modelo de sociedad de la información vigente, generando propuestas que conduzcan a un reparto equilibrado de los beneficios que aporta el conocimiento, patrimonio intangible universal de toda la especie. |
