| Abstract: | The capacity to have and to express, to search and to receive information is the basis of library services according to the IFLA Internet Manifesto. The access to information is a fundamental requirement for the exercise of these rights and therefore libraries must tend to become portals of access to the World Wide Web and providers of virtual services to virtual users: the appearance of mobile networks that form a ubiquitous and universal space that allows users to connect at any time from any place to the Web, the transformation of the world of the book and the publishing commerce, and the emerging social technologies born around the concept of Web 2,0 are conforming the necessity to develop new library portals, commonly known as Library 2.0. |
| Other Abstracts: | La capacidad de tener y expresar, de buscar y recibir información es la base de la prestación de los servicios bibliotecarios según el Manifiesto de la IFLA de Internet. El acceso a la información es un requisito fundamental para el ejercicio de estos derechos por lo que las
bibliotecas deben tender a convertirse en portales de acceso a la World Wide Web y en prestadoras de servicios virtuales a usuarios virtuales: la aparición de redes móviles que configuran un espacio ubicuo y universal que permite a los usuarios conectarse desde cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento a la Web, la transformación del mundo del libro y del comercio editorial, y las tecnologías sociales emergentes nacidas en torno al concepto de Web 2.0 están conformando la necesidad de desarrollar nuevos portales bibliotecarios, lo que se conoce como Biblioteca 2.0. |
