| Abstract: | Reconfiguring collection development, what does that mean? How is collection development reconfigured? We are all familiar with various standard methodologies to “do collection development”; the more money you have, the more materials you can buy, and the greater the collection. However, academic libraries are dealing with rising operational costs that are disproportionate to their budgets and this has a significant effect on collection development. What is needed is a new paradigm for collection development. |
