This study examines 98 Open Access Institutional Repositories (OAIRs) in Ukraine listed in OpenDOAR, focusing on their growth, types, subjects, content, languages, and software. Data collected as of September 23, 2024, were analysed descriptively. Institutional repositories dominated (96.94%), with English as the leading interface language (79.2%). Science, technology, and social sciences were the major subject areas, while journal articles and theses were the main content types. DSpace was the predominant software (88.78%). The findings highlight Ukraine’s open access landscape and opportunities to strengthen repository infrastructure and research visibility.
