English abstract

This paper describes the methodology applied by AIB, during the Covid-19 emergency, to provide information and recommendations in support of libraries and librarians. We focus in particular on the AIB recommended solutions to react to two different emergencies, one related to the public health, and the other to the employment in our sector – which weigh on the prospects of our sector. While the first one is of a contingent nature, but requires expensive solutions even in the medium term, the second one is structural.

Il contributo rende conto dell’attività svolta dall’AIB e del metodo applicato in occasione dell’emergenza da Covid-19, per fornire informazioni e raccomandazioni a supporto delle biblioteche e del lavoro nel settore. Ci si concentra in particolar modo sugli aspetti della tutela della salute e dell’occupazione nel settore, le due emergenze – l’una contingente, ma che richiede l’adozione di soluzioni onerose anche a medio termine, l’altra strutturale – che pesano sulle prospettive del settore.
