It presents the idea of  system of professions giving a special attention to the teory of Andrew Abbott.  Discusss the changes in the professions with the development of information society.  Presents some definitions of information professionals highlighting their convergences and divergences. Thereafter, make observations on the education and work of the this information professionals in all three countries, emphasizing the classical professions, ie, librarians, documentalists, archivists  and museum professionals.</abstract>
